SPECIAL AFTERNOON TEA DURING WIMBLEDON

TENNIS SEASON IS HERE!

If you’re going to Wimbledon this year and you fancy a rather special afternoon tea then Demitasse is the place to go. Situated in the heart of Wimbledon Village they are best known for their specialty coffee but they also have some very tasty bites on offer including their afternoon tea.

There’s a great selection of open sandwiches with delicious toppings such as smoked salmon, herb fed chicken, Brie, and of course English cucumber – each one served with its own particular condiment. Of course it wouldn’t be a very special afternoon tea without fresh baked scones served with Cornish clotted cream and fruit preserves. And to top things off Demitasse serve up a selection of miniature treats and fancies. These include chocolate and orange Battenberg; pistachio eclairs; Paris brest choux; and strawberry and basil tart. Scrumptious! This is obviously not the usual Wimbledon afternoon tea.

SPECIAL AFTERNOON TEA WITH A SPARKLING WINE SELECTION

Demitasse offer a choice of teas from The London Tea Exchange to accompany the delicious food. But if you want to make this a truly special afternoon tea they also offer the option of champagne. Bites and bubbles!

Demitasse stands out amongst other Wimbledon coffee shops with it’s beautiful interior and minimalist mod bar counter serving their exceptional speciality coffee. There’s a lovely banquette seating area at the back of the Wimbledon cafe that is lit by a large sky light creating a lovely atmosphere which is enhanced by lots of greenery. Or with the warmer summer weather you might prefer to sit outside at the front and watch the world go by as you enjoy your special afternoon tea in Wimbledon.

The team has a keen attention to detail and is dedicated to providing a great experience for their customers. Everyone is very friendly and helpful which makes for a lovely atmosphere.
All in all, Demitasse has a lot to offer: a beautiful interior, superb specialty coffee, delicious food, and friendly service. So, if you’re looking for a cafe in Wimbledon Village that’s a little bit special, why not pop in and enjoy the experience.
